This is the page where I'll describe myself in more detail.

A photo of me when I was 21...

Here you'll learn all about me: my interests and hobbies, the people in my family, my friends, my plans, and more. I've even included my resume and a list of my favourite links to other sites.I might also include some information about my personal history: where I grew up, where I went to school, various places I've lived. If I have one, I'll include a picture of myself engaging in an activity I enjoy, such as a sport or hobby.

I might describe my job in a little more detail here. I'll write about what I do, what I like best about it, and even some of the frustrations. (A job with frustrations? Hard to believe, huh?)

Hobbies and interrests:

As for my hobbies, I love sports especially biking, hiking, swimming and excercising in the Gym (last few months, occasionally of course); also I like football, ice-hockey, tennis, table-tennis, volleyball... (almost all sports). I usually go hiking in the mountains or in the natural area with forest and lakes in the summer and skiing in the winter with my friends. My other favourite leisure activities are listening to music, gardening, walking expeditions, forestry work, service to the community, watching movies, snorkeling, windsurfing, photography and travelling.

Well, since 2.11.2000 I'm working as an Au-Pair in one family in England. I am looking after 3 children (Perdita - 8, Arthur - 11, Jack - 12), 1 dog (Oakley - 7 months) and sometimes 1 hamster.

TO BE A MALE "AU-PAIR"

What does the word "AU-PAIR" mean and include? Well, that was my first question before I became an au pair in England.
The definition according to Oxford Advanced Learners Dictionary sounds as followed: An au pair is a young person, usually a woman, who lives with a family in a foreign country in order to learn the language. An au pair helps in the house and takes care of children and receives a small wage.
Yes, to learn English, that's exactly why I am here (I need to study harder than I used to) and the rest of the definition is exactly what I am doing here. To be precise and concrete with regard to my place of living and working:
1. I live as a member of my new English family in Chichester in West Sussex (south England);
2. I have my own furnished bedroom (with a big comfortable bed, a table, a case, a wardrobe, a small TV of hardly 2 channels, a tape-recorder);and bathroom (the shower is working just when it wants, but that's life, I haven't a problem with that, because there is a possibility to use the children's bathroom when needed);
3. Our house is about 10 minutes walk from the sea (Atlantic ocean) and about 1 hour 10 minutes from London by train;
4. I can have a bed arrangement for the weekends I spend in London;
5. The family pays me membership for a leisure centre (it included Gym, Spa and swimming pool);
6. The family pays me school fees at the Chichester College of Arts, Science and Technology (general English);
7. I have weekends free unless I am needed for babysitting and I have time off to go to college (2-4 times a week);
8. I receive a wage weekly (it helps me to save money for my next studying in Australia, which is very expensive);
9. I look after three children (aged 8, 11, 12) and one fluffy, shaggy and long-eared dog (French breed: Grand Basset Griffon Vendeen; it's a shaggy, fluffy, humpy, rumpy, dumpy, wooly, hadsome, stupid fishy faced boy, named Oakley Doakley)
10. I have general household duties such as ironing for the family (1-2 times a week), light housework and light cleaning (everyday), childrens cooking (occasionally), playing with children (video games, croquet in the garden, connect 4, football, table tennis etc.)(occasionally), checking their homework, taking trips (sometimes), washing clothes (everyday) and sheets (every Monday) and going with the dog for a walk every day (except weekends).
A girl au-pair most probably wouldn't do some of the havier jobs (like bringing in logs for the fireplace or cutting the lawn...).
